In the Fall of 2019 the school officially opened its magnificent doors to students and teachers on the original site of the 1927 Magnolia Elementary School (a historical landmark) on 28th Ave West in Magnolia – right by Ella Bailey Park, giving us one of the best city views in a beloved neighborhood.
As acting principal of MES, Principal Kelly Walter's focus will be to carry out the school's mission and vision and continue the work of ensuring we have an inclusive culture where all students and families feel seen and represented and children experience the joy of learning.
This intentional focus on creating an antiracist school with a powerful sense of belonging
will continue to be the foundation of MES.
As the Parent-Teacher-Association (PTA) of the Magnolia Elementary School (MES) we are dedicated to supporting our teachers in their mission to giving our children the best education possible. The PTA takes on certain roles and responsibilities in addition to fundraising for needs that are currently not covered by the Seattle Public School (SPS) budget. We rely on your support to help fund our activities to help all children thrive at Magnolia Elementary. You can always reach us at firstname.lastname@example.org
